William Ellis Obituary, Death; – The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identity of the 18-year-old man who was fatally shot on Friday night.
William Ellis, a resident of Rockford, succumbed to his injuries late Friday night after being shot. According to the investigation, Ellis was shot shortly before 9:40 p.m. on Friday in the 500 block of Locus Street.
Emergency responders attempted to save his life and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately passed away due to his injuries.
The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, along with the Rockford Police Department, is currently conducting an investigation into the shooting.
