Taylor Anthony Ochoa Obituary, Death; – The Salem Police Department reported on Monday that a man succumbed to injuries sustained after being struck by a passing freight train. Emergency services were alerted around 7 a.m. on Wednesday regarding an incident involving a pedestrian and a train at the Union-Pacific Railroad tracks.
Witnesses indicated that the individual was riding a bicycle with its tires positioned close to the tracks. As the train approached, warning bells and horns were activated. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the cyclist moved the bicycle backward toward the tracks, resulting in the train colliding with the bike and propelling the rider into the train. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Taylor Anthony Ochoa from Nevada, who tragically passed away on Thursday due to his injuries.
