Rasean Carter,Malachi Jackson Obituary, Death; – The New Orleans Police Department has reported the apprehension of suspects in two notable homicide investigations, which include a fatal shooting during a second-line event last month in the 9th Ward and a double homicide that took place on Tara Lane.
Nineteen-year-old Curtis Gray has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the shooting deaths of 21-year-old Rasean Carter and his 19-year-old nephew, Malachi Jackson. These incidents transpired during the 26th annual Nine Times Social Aid & Pleasure Club second line parade on November 18.
As per police reports, Gray is alleged to have discharged his weapon as the parade was crossing the Almonaster Bridge, resulting in the deaths of Carter and Jackson, both residents of Marrero. Sheriff Joe Lopinto has confirmed that Gray was taken into custody without any incidents in Jefferson Parish.
