Antonio Ivarra Obituary, Death; – A head-on collision in Montgomery County resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to two others, including a teenager.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Friday along Alabama 126, approximately one mile east of Montgomery. ALEA Lieutenant Jeremy Burkett confirmed that the deceased was identified as Antonio Ivarra, a 39-year-old resident of Phenix City.
According to Burkett, Ivarra was operating a Scion TC when it collided head-on with a Honda Pilot driven by a 16-year-old. Ivarra, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in Ivarra’s vehicle was transported to Baptist Medical Center South with unspecified injuries. The teenage driver of the Honda was also taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
