Michele Rojek Obituary, Death; – Authorities are conducting an investigation into a deadly motor vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a Somerset woman on Sunday morning on Easton Avenue, close to Cedar Grove Lane, as stated by Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

Prosecutor McDonald, along with Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr. and Franklin Township Acting Public Safety Director Lloyd Fredericks, reported that at approximately 7:43 a.m. on October 19, 2025, Franklin Township police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a two-vehicle collision at the intersection.

Upon arrival, responding officers and emergency medical personnel discovered that the driver of a 2019 white Honda Civic, identified as Michele Rojek, 51, from Somerset, had suffered serious injuries. She was taken to a nearby trauma center, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 37-year-old resident of Piscataway operating a 2023 gray Toyota Tundra, did not require medical assistance, according to officials.

As per the preliminary investigation conducted by the Franklin Township Police Traffic Safety Bureau and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team (C.A.R.T.), Rojek’s vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Easton Avenue when it collided with the Toyota Tundra. Witness accounts supported these findings, investigators noted.

The inquiry into the accident is still ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to reach out to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office at 908-231-7100 or the Franklin Township Police Department at 732-873-5533, or to provide information anonymously through the STOPit app, which is available for free download using access code SOMERSETNJ. Tips can also be submitted to the Somerset County Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-888-577-TIPS (8477).

All reports and tips will be treated as confidential, officials stated.
