Matthew Keleman Obituary, Death; – A body discovered within a container in downtown Las Vegas has been confirmed as that of a veteran journalist.
The Clark County coroner has identified the deceased as Matthew Keleman, aged 56. The specifics regarding the cause and manner of death are currently under investigation. Keleman recently authored an article for Las Vegas Magazine.
His remains were located on Tuesday, May 20, by the Las Vegas Metro Police after they received reports of an unpleasant odor emanating from a large container situated in the 100 block of North 3rd Street, close to North Las Vegas Boulevard and Ogden Avenue.
Authorities deemed the situation suspicious, prompting homicide detectives to take charge of the inquiry. Police have named 63-year-old Joseph Del Rivo as a suspect in this matter.
However, just one day after the discovery of Keleman’s body, law enforcement officials were informed that Del Rivo had perished in an unrelated high-speed pursuit with the Utah Highway Patrol the previous day. According to police, he crashed during the chase and subsequently died.
