Lori Catherine Dahl Obituary – The Minnesota State Patrol is conducting an investigation into a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The tragic event occurred around 1 PM on Friday in the western suburb of Shorewood, located in the Twin Cities area. According to the State Patrol, the victim was in the crosswalk while attempting to cross a four-lane highway near Lake Minnetonka when she was struck by a pickup truck.
Initial reports from the crash indicate that the pickup was heading south on an intersecting road, with the driver attempting to make a left turn onto the four-lane highway.
The pedestrian, identified as 65-year-old Lori Catherine Dahl from Shorewood, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the pickup, 54-year-old Derek Allen Johnson, also from Shorewood, did not sustain any injuries. The State Patrol’s report confirms that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
