John Snowden Obituary, Death; – The Baton Rouge Police Department has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life following a vehicle collision with a bank on Friday, September 6.

According to police reports, a 2003 Chevrolet truck was traveling westbound on Greenwell Street when it proceeded through the intersection at Airline Highway, subsequently entering the parking lot of Chase Bank. The truck collided with two parked cars before crashing through the front wall of the bank, as stated by the BRPD. A fire erupted within the vehicle as a result of the impact.

Authorities reported that the driver, John Snowden, aged 62, could not be extricated from the vehicle due to the rapid spread of the fire and was pronounced dead at the scene. Several employees and customers of the bank were transported to the hospital, as indicated by the BRPD. The incident is currently under investigation.
