James Lowery Obituary, Death; – A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a shooting incident that resulted in one fatality and left another individual injured early Saturday morning. At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, law enforcement officials were dispatched to Mt. Zion Church Road in Red Springs following reports of two individuals who had been shot.

Upon their arrival, deputies discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. James Lowery, a 19-year-old resident of Rowland, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, while another individual was also taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect as 20-year-old James Isaac Hardin, also from Red Springs. He has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill causing serious bodily injury, and discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities indicate that additional charges and arrests may follow. Individuals with any pertinent information are encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 910.671.3170.
