Lareon Brown Obituary, Death; – A woman has lost her life and two additional individuals sustained injuries in a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday in Carrollton, as reported by the police.
On Sunday afternoon, three individuals were apprehended and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The arrested individuals include 23-year-old Cyntez Worthy from Villa Rica, 26-year-old Zontavius Vaughn from Carrollton, and 31-year-old Jamine Hutchinson from Villa Rica.
The deceased victim has been identified as 26-year-old Lareon Brown, according to police reports.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has released the mugshots of the suspects to NEWSCHAIN. The Carrollton Police Department had limited information available early Sunday but indicated that the incident began as a confrontation that escalated into a shooting.
Officers responded to the scene on 6th Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.
One of the two surviving victims was transported to a hospital in the Atlanta area, as stated by Carrollton PD, while the other surviving victim was taken to an Atlanta area hospital by a private vehicle.
“The incident is currently under investigation, and no further information will be disclosed at this time,” a statement from the police indicated.
