Jeffrey M Wright,Anita Lam-Wright Obituary, Death; – The Orangetown Police have formally identified the individuals involved in an apparent murder-suicide in Nyack as a married couple in their 50s.
The deceased, Jeffrey M. Wright, aged 52, and Anita Lam-Wright, aged 55, were found at their residence on North Midland Avenue on Saturday, November 1.
According to police reports, the Rockland County REACT Team, which consists of the county’s local SWAT officers, responded to the location after a family member of the couple reported a previous domestic incident.
Rockland County React officers entered the home following several unsuccessful attempts to contact the residents and discovered the bodies of Wright and Lam-Wright, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
“Based on the injuries and evidence present at the scene,” stated Police Captain Michael Shannon in a news release on Monday, it appeared that Wright had fatally shot his wife, Lam-Wright, using a shotgun that was recovered from the scene.
“He then moved to another part of the house and took his own life with the same firearm,” Shannon added.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Orangetown Police Department Detective Bureau at 845-359-2121.
