Justin Washington Obituary, Death; – Four individuals have been apprehended in relation to the shooting death of Justin Washington, who was fatally shot late on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Opelousas.
According to police, the shooting took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. Investigators from the Opelousas Police Department interviewed multiple witnesses at the scene and subsequently discovered discrepancies between their accounts and the physical evidence. Detectives conducted follow-up interviews with witnesses and performed additional analyses, ultimately concluding that 18-year-old Jasean Mansfield discharged the firearm that resulted in Washington’s death.
During the course of the investigation, detectives also uncovered that several individuals attempted to clean the crime scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. These individuals were identified as Sharona Glaude, 31; Latravien Glaude, 19; and Koby Glaude, 18.
A third interview with Mansfield resulted in a confession. He was taken into custody and booked at the St. Landry Parish Jail on charges of negligent homicide and obstruction of justice. Sharona, Latravien, and Koby Glaude each face charges of obstruction of justice for their involvement in the effort to conceal evidence, as reported by police.
