Joshua Rosendahl Obituary, Death; – The Lake County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a 27-year-old man from Ingleside who lost his life in a two-vehicle accident early Wednesday.
Initial autopsy findings indicate that Joshua Rosendahl of Ingleside succumbed to blunt force trauma affecting the head, neck, and chest due to the collision, which occurred around 5 a.m. on Route 134 near North Catherine Street, as stated in a news release from the coroner’s office.
According to authorities, Rosendahl was operating a Honda sedan that had been reported stolen the previous day from a gym in Fox Lake at the time of the accident. The sedan was traveling west on Route 134 when it crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with an eastbound GMC work truck, as reported by the police.
Rosendahl was declared dead at the scene, as per the authorities. Police noted that he seemed to have an open bottle of whiskey in his lap during the incident. The driver of the GMC, a 44-year-old man from Johnsburg, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not deemed life-threatening, according to police. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
