Joseph Cerny Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following an accident that occurred on Thursday night in Goldsboro. According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday in the 700 block of Slocumb Street.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the driver, 47-year-old Joseph Cerny, from Goldsboro, in an unresponsive state. Wayne County EMS pronounced Cerny deceased at the scene.
The Traffic Crash Reconstructionist from the Goldsboro Police Department has been assigned to the case to carry out the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently being examined.
