Grace Maxwell Obituary, Death;- A university student from near Dayton, Ohio, is among the 67 individuals who lost their lives in the plane crash that occurred on January 29 at an airport close to Washington, D.C.

The director of public relations at Cedarville University announced in a press release on Thursday that Grace Maxwell was one of the victims of the midair collision that took place on Wednesday night. According to Cedarville University, Maxwell was en route back to campus from her residence in Wichita, Kansas, when her flight was tragically involved in the accident.

Maxwell was a third-year student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, complemented by a minor in biomedical engineering. Dr. Tim Norman, one of her academic advisers, described her as “a reserved individual with a strong desire to assist others through the field of engineering.”

This semester, Maxwell was scheduled to participate in a project team focused on developing a hand-stabilizing device for a disabled boy in Dayton, enabling him to feed himself independently. The circumstances leading to the midair collision remain unclear.
