James H. Stevens Obituary, Death; – The New York State Police have confirmed the identity of the individual who perished in a tragic house fire in the Town of Marathon on September 9. The victim has been identified as 71-year-old James H. Stevens.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene of the fire at 269 State Route 11 shortly after 12:30 a.m. Upon their arrival, law enforcement reported that the residence was completely consumed by flames. As firefighting teams worked to extinguish the fire, a portion of State Route 11 was closed for several hours. The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing.
