James Garvin Obituary, Death: – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life following an ejection from his vehicle during a single-car accident in Ravenel on Thursday. The victim has been identified as 81-year-old James “Ed” Garvin, a resident of Adams Run.
Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal stated that Garvin was declared deceased at the scene at approximately 3 p.m. on September 12. The incident took place at the junction of Savannah Highway and Bay Pond Road.
According to investigators, Garvin’s vehicle was heading north on Savannah Highway when it veered across the median into the southbound lanes. The vehicle subsequently collided with a ditch and overturned. It was during this overturning that Garvin was ejected from the vehicle, resulting in his fatality.
