Cesar Salinas-Ruiz Obituary, Death; – Officers from the California Highway Patrol have identified the individual who was struck and killed while walking on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo on September 1 as 26-year-old Cesar Salinas-Ruiz, a resident of Oxnard.
Salinas-Ruiz was traversing a northbound lane near the Madonna Road overpass when he was struck by a tan vehicle, believed to be a Toyota Camry, which subsequently fled the scene. It has been reported that at least one additional vehicle also collided with Salinas-Ruiz, resulting in his death at the location of the incident.
A coordinated response was initiated by multiple agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, the San Luis Obispo Police Department, and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, following the tragic accident. Authorities are actively pursuing the driver of the tan vehicle involved in the incident.
