Isaac Ernesto Alvarado Obituary, Death; – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision with a semi-truck as 30-year-old Isaac Ernesto Alvarado from Bakersfield.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, on September 21, 2025, at approximately 6:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Union Avenue and Welch Avenue in response to a report of a crash involving a semi-truck and a motorcycle. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a motorcyclist, later recognized as Alvarado, who was suffering from serious injuries.

Alvarado was transported to a hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The police indicated that an initial investigation revealed Alvarado was heading west on Welch Avenue while the semi-truck was traveling north on South Union Avenue at the time of the incident.

The semi-truck driver remained at the scene and was cooperative during the investigation. Authorities stated that excessive speed and impairment were not contributing factors for the semi-truck driver.
