Sheriff Mark Davis has identified the suspects as Deontray Deshunn Carey Jr., aged 22, from Beaumont, and Kenny Ray Johnson, aged 21, from Baytown.

The victims have been named as Henry Carey Jr., aged 36, and Khalil Ahmadrian Gooch, aged 29, both hailing from Kountze.

Preliminary investigations suggest that all four individuals had frequented a nightclub located on Fresenius Road, just outside of Silsbee. While departing the parking lot in the early hours of Sunday morning, a minor vehicular collision occurred between the parties involved, as reported by Sheriff Davis. This incident sparked a disturbance that ultimately led to the shooting.

Carey and Johnson fled the scene but were subsequently apprehended by Lumberton Police Officers on unrelated charges. Following a thorough investigation and the collection of evidence, the two were charged with two counts of murder. They are currently held in the Hardin County Jail under warrants issued by Hardin County Justice of the Peace Rod Ousley.

Justice of the Peace Rod Ousley has mandated an autopsy for both victims. The Silsbee and Lumberton Police Departments are collaborating on this investigation.
