Antonio Jason Craig Obituary, Death; – A 52-year-old man from Pontiac was discovered deceased in his pickup truck due to multiple gunshot wounds on Saturday evening, November 29. Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a suspect within approximately two hours.

The victim was identified as Antonio Jason Craig, 52, of Pontiac. While on patrol, deputies encountered a pickup truck fitted with a salt spreader that was halted in the center of Karen Court, just south of Hopkins Avenue, shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upon finding Craig unresponsive inside the vehicle, deputies promptly initiated life-saving efforts, during which they noted that Craig had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was subsequently declared dead.

To aid in the investigation, several K-9 units and a drone unit were deployed by the sheriff’s office. A potential suspect was identified, and members of the Directed Patrol Unit of the sheriff’s office tracked the suspect down and intercepted a vehicle in which he was a passenger. The suspect, a 26-year-old man from Pontiac whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was arrested at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of a restaurant in Waterford Township.

The suspect is currently being held at the Oakland County Jail. Detectives are anticipated to forward the case to prosecutors for potential charges by Tuesday, December 2.
