George Arnold Obituary, Death; – The individual who was fatally struck by a vehicle on Thursday night in Lyndhurst has been identified as a resident of the township, according to authorities.
George Arnold, aged 57, was struck around 10 p.m. on Ridge Road, close to the intersection with Milton Avenue, situated between an NJ Transit train station and Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. He was declared deceased at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the incident fled the location, as reported by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team. Public records indicate that Arnold resided just a few blocks from the site of the accident.
As of early Friday afternoon, no arrests had been made, and the prosecutor’s office confirmed that the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office is providing assistance in the ongoing investigation.
