Charles Alexander Obituary, Death; – Investigators continue to seek a motive for the tragic shooting that occurred on Sunday in Weston Ranch, although authorities have disclosed the identity of the victim.

The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that the victim is Charles Alexander, a 57-year-old resident of Stockton, following notification of his next of kin. This incident marks the 35th homicide in the city for the year 2024.

Officers discovered Alexander unresponsive in the 900 block of Henry Long Boulevard around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, responding to reports of a shooting. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police reports.

As of more than 24 hours post-incident, law enforcement has not released any information regarding potential suspects, and the investigation into the motive is ongoing, as stated by Officer Omer Edhah, a representative of the Stockton Police Department.
