Benjamin Brallier Obituary, Death; – A man has been apprehended by Pennsylvania authorities on suspicion of fatally stabbing another individual on Monday afternoon along a well-frequented recreational trail near Pittsburgh.
Anthony Quesen, 25, faces charges of criminal homicide related to the fatal incident, which took place around 3 p.m. in Moon Township, approximately 12 miles west of Pittsburgh, on the Montour Trail, as reported by Allegheny County police in a news release.
This multi-use recreational trail extends roughly 47 miles around Pittsburgh and is privately owned and managed. Following the stabbing, a 44-year-old man was rushed to a hospital for treatment of his injuries but ultimately succumbed to his wounds, according to police reports.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the deceased as Benjamin Brallier, a resident of Coraopolis in Allegheny County. Upon police arrival, bystanders were seen attempting to render medical assistance to the victim, as detailed in a criminal complaint submitted to USA TODAY.
The victim, later identified as Brallier, was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds to his back, upper chest, and left hand, where he was pronounced dead, according to the complaint. Homicide detectives from Allegheny County police have been assigned to assist in the investigation.
