Austin Ly Obituary, Death; – A 16-year-old named Austin Ly has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in east central Fresno on Tuesday. The Clovis Unified School District confirmed to KMJ’s News Partner ABC 30 Action News that Ly was enrolled at Clovis East High School.
The incident took place shortly after 4 PM on Tuesday at the intersection of Fowler and Tulare Avenue, as a car was making a turn onto Fowler. According to law enforcement, Ly was operating a motorcycle and allegedly ran a red light, colliding with the vehicle and being ejected from his motorcycle.
He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities report that the driver of the car is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. In response to the tragedy, the school district has made additional resources available on campus.
