Juanita Ayala Obituary, Death; – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the 77-year-old woman who tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in Reedley. The deceased has been named as Juanita Ayala, a resident of Reedley.
According to the Reedley Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene of the traffic accident at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, which occurred at the intersection of 10th and G streets, involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Reports indicate that Ayala was in the process of crossing the street within the designated crosswalk when she suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision. She was subsequently taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno; however, despite the efforts to save her life, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have stated that the driver remained at the location of the incident, and there is currently no evidence to suggest that drugs or alcohol were factors in this case. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
