Aaron Marshall Lance,Lornder Lee Palmer Obituary, Death; – The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identities of individuals who lost their lives due to Tropical Storm Helene. On Friday, September 27, the coroner’s office attended to four separate fatalities linked to the severe weather.
At 7:17 a.m., the coroner, along with other emergency responders, arrived at 5 Cedar Ave. Lot 11, where a tree had fallen onto a residence, resulting in a fatality inside. The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Lornder Lee Palmer, who was found trapped beneath the tree. She was pronounced dead at 7:38 a.m. on that day.
At 9:43 a.m., another response was initiated at 896 Chestnut Ridge Road in Marietta, South Carolina, following reports of a man who had been struck by a tree. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Aaron Marshall Lance, was outside when the tree fell on him. He was pronounced dead at 10:22 a.m.
At 9:20 a.m., the coroner’s office was called to 2036A Cleveland Street Ext. in Greenville, where a tree had fallen on a home, resulting in another fatality. The victim, 59-year-old Charles Daly Dean III, was confirmed dead at 10:14 a.m. after being struck by the tree while inside the residence.
Finally, at 9:54 a.m., a report was received regarding a male victim who had been hit by a tree branch at 1369 Ridge Road in Greenville. Responders from Mauldin Fire and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office discovered the victim outside the home. The individual, identified as 68-year-old Moreno Arnez Maddox, was confirmed dead at 10:19 a.m. after being struck by the falling branch.
