Xander Wehrhan Obituary, Death; – An 18-year-old individual has lost their life following a collision in North Versailles on Wednesday evening.
Assistant Superintendent Victor Joseph of the Allegheny County police confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that county police were dispatched to the incident on Lincoln Highway.
The accident occurred in the 1200 block of Route 30 at the intersection with Isaac Street at approximately 5:30 p.m., just outside the Dunkin’ Donuts establishment. A crew from WTAE observed police tape surrounding what appeared to be a collision involving two vehicles: a box truck and a sedan. A white sheet was placed over the sedan.
The deceased, Xander Wehrhan, aged 18, was operating the sedan and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the box truck remained at the location while law enforcement conducted their investigation.
Preliminary evidence suggests that the sedan was traveling east on Route 30 when it crossed the center line and collided with the westbound truck. Individuals with any information are encouraged to contact the anonymous county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
