Wilson Garcia-Miranda Obituary, Death: – On Thursday evening, the Omaha police initiated an investigation into a shooting that led to the fatality of a 16-year-old individual. Authorities received a call regarding the incident at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Q Street at approximately 10:20 p.m.

Upon their arrival, emergency responders discovered one victim who was declared dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as Wilson Garcia-Miranda, aged 16. Additionally, a second victim, 18-year-old Emerson Olivorio-Marroqui, was located injured at a nearby residence a few blocks away. Olivorio-Marroqui was transported to a hospital and is anticipated to recover.

Law enforcement officials continued their investigation at the scene for several hours, actively searching for suspects and soliciting information from witnesses. Lt. Sean Sheridan noted that due to the outdoor nature of the incident, the area of investigation needed to be extensive to ensure the collection of all possible evidence, in contrast to incidents that take place within a building.

The investigation remains active, and the Omaha police are urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP (7867).
