Volodymyr Pernerovsky Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Highway 55 in Plymouth on Saturday evening. According to the state patrol, at approximately 8:20 p.m., 70-year-old Volodymyr Pernerovsky from Minneapolis was crossing the highway close to South Shore Drive when he was impacted by a station wagon operated by 68-year-old Dawn Tomlinson of Eagan. The state patrol suspects that Pernerovsky was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, as he was crossing against traffic and outside of a designated crosswalk.
In a separate incident, the Minnesota State Patrol is looking into a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Shorewood. Authorities report that 65-year-old Lori Dahl was struck and killed while using a crosswalk near Lake Minnetonka on Friday afternoon. The driver involved has been identified as 54-year-old Derek Johnson from Shorewood. The state patrol indicates that alcohol may have played a role in this tragic accident.
