Van T Perry Obituary, Death;- A 38-year-old woman was charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in East St. Louis.
Michelle Schultz of Belleville, Illinois, was charged Sunday in connection with the death of 67-year-old Van T. Perry of East St. Louis.
According to a press release from Illinois State Police, the investigation started when East St. Louis police officers were called to Perry’s home on Church Lane on Sept. 26. Perry was found inside the home with multiple stab wounds and was later pronounced dead.
Illinois State Police were called to assist with the investigation. The joint investigation identified Schultz as the suspect, and she was charged on Sunday.
She is currently in custody. No other information about the incident has been provided.
