Valentin Junior Collazo Obituary, Death; – The driver who lost his life has been identified as 18-year-old Valentin Junior Collazo, according to police reports.
Authorities stated that the accident took place on Sunday night just minutes before midnight, near Exit 36. They reported that Collazo lost control of his Mazda sedan, causing it to veer off the road. The Mazda moved from the left lane onto the shoulder, “crossed the grassy gore area of the Exit 36 entrance ramp, traveled across the ramp, and subsequently collided with a rock wall.”
At the time of the incident, there was one passenger in the vehicle, who reportedly suffered minor injuries, as per police information. The passenger has been identified as a 17-year-old girl from the Terryville area of Plymouth, according to police.
Emergency personnel performed CPR on Collazo before he was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
