Tracy Roane Obituary, Death: – Fairfax County Police have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who lost his life on Route 29 on Saturday evening as 56-year-old Tracy Roane from Centreville. The unfortunate event transpired at approximately 8:15 p.m. while Roane was walking in a northbound lane close to White Post Road.
Roane was first struck by an SUV, and subsequently, he was impacted by other vehicles traveling along the highway. Authorities reported that all drivers involved remained at the scene to assist with the investigation.
The location of the incident includes a designated pathway for pedestrians adjacent to Route 29. However, police indicated that Roane was not utilizing a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
