Taquan Turner Obituary, Death; – D.C. police have provided additional information following the fatal shooting of a Virginia man in Northeast on Monday.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) reported that at approximately 8:45 p.m. on October 7, officers responded to a shooting incident in the 100 block of T Street, located near McKinley Technology High School.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel attempted various lifesaving procedures; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Taquan Turner from Alexandria, Virginia.
The investigation remains active. MPD urges anyone with relevant information to contact them at 202-727-9099 or to send a text to the department’s Tip Line at 50411. The police department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that results in an arrest and conviction.
