Ranjinidevi Ramakrishnan Obituary, Death; – A 43-year-old woman from the township lost her life, and two others sustained injuries last week in a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Route 522 and Georges Road.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjinidevi Ramakrishnan, a resident of the Kendall Park area, as confirmed by Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone on Friday.

Authorities responded to the incident at approximately 7:13 p.m. on October 3, where they discovered a Hyundai Sonata, occupied by three individuals, had been impacted by a Jeep Liberty. The driver of the Hyundai, along with the front and rear passengers, suffered serious injuries, according to the prosecutor’s office.

All three individuals were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where Ramakrishnan, who was seated in the rear, was pronounced deceased, as reported by the prosecutor’s office.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the Jeep Liberty failed to stop at a red light prior to the collision, according to the prosecutor’s office. The driver of the Jeep was also taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for medical attention.

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to reach out to South Brunswick Officer Trevor Michie at 732-329-4646 or Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Detective James Alleva at 732-745-4011.
