Amanda Leariel Overstreet Obituary, Death; – The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the human head and hands discovered in January by the new owner of a recently purchased residence located at 2988 Pinyon Avenue.

Authorities have identified the victim in the Pinyon Avenue homicide case as Amanda Leariel Overstreet, who had ties to both Grand Junction and Harris County, Texas.

Overstreet was the biological daughter of the former homeowner and was approximately 16 years old at the time she went missing; she had not been seen or heard from since April 2005. Officials indicate that there is no record of her being reported missing.

According to a statement from the coroner’s office, the remainder of her body has yet to be located. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office stated in a release that “the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain under investigation,” and forensic analysis of the evidence is currently in progress.
