Perry J Sellars Obituary, Death; – The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office has disclosed the identity of the individual who was shot and killed by two officers from the Vancouver Police during an incident that occurred last Saturday.
Perry J. Sellars, aged 44, succumbed to perforating gunshot wounds to the torso, as stated by the medical examiner, who classified his death as a homicide.

Preliminary reports from December 27 indicated that a man had aimed a firearm at a woman and discharged at least one round.

Upon their arrival, officers reported that the man, now recognized as Sellars, approached them while holding the weapon, prompting the two officers to open fire on Sellars.
He was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Sellars’ spouse asserts that he never lifted the firearm.

“When the police arrived, he had [the gun] at his side,” she informed KATU’s Jennifer Singh. “He literally never even raised it. I am uncertain if there were any bullets in it, and they shot him six times.”

She conveyed to KATU that Sellars was experiencing a mental health crisis.

The shooting is currently being investigated by the Washington State Office of Independent Investigations.
