Paula Truong,Alexandra Ocheltree Obituary, Death; – On Friday, authorities disclosed the identities of four family members who were found deceased in their residence located in San Francisco’s Westwood Highlands neighborhood, as the police persist in their investigation into what they describe as a series of suspicious deaths,

The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased as Thomas Russell Ocheltree, 57; Paula Truong, 53; Alexandra Ocheltree, 12; and Mackenzie Ocheltree, 9.

Officials stated that the causes and manners of death are still pending the results of autopsies.

Two sources informed KTVU that the family might have succumbed to a potential suicide; however, the San Francisco police have indicated that they are treating the incident as suspicious deaths with indications of a criminal aspect.

The investigation is being led by the department’s homicide unit, although the case has not yet been officially categorized as a homicide.

Police arrived at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at a residence on the 900 block of Monterey Boulevard to conduct a welfare check. Upon entering, they found the four bodies.

“At this stage, the evidence suggests a criminal case,” stated SFPD spokesperson Officer Robert Rueca. “This seems to be a criminal act.
The family had relocated to the neighborhood about a year prior and were recognized for their elaborate holiday light displays, as noted by neighbors.

“They were an ordinary family — two parents, two children, and a dog,” remarked neighbor Benoit, who preferred not to disclose his last name. “It’s tragic, especially considering there were young children involved.”
Neighbor Douglas, residing nearby, added, “They were always very well decorated. It appeared they were quite affluent.”

Another local resident, Jatin Kathuria, mentioned that he had observed the family less frequently in recent months.

“When we moved in last year, we used to see them more often,” he noted. “In the last few months, we haven’t seen them much at all.”

The typically tranquil Westwood Highlands neighborhood is now in shock.

“This neighborhood seldom experiences any incidents of this nature,” Rueca remarked.
