Paul Pomerleau Obituary, Death; – A man was fatally stabbed during a domestic incident on Saturday evening in Middleborough, Massachusetts, as reported by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, the Middleborough police received multiple 911 calls regarding a fight and a man who had been stabbed at a residence located at 19 Fairview Street.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man, later identified as Paul Pomerleau, aged 66, suffering from several stab wounds. Pomerleau was transported to Morton Hospital, where he was declared deceased.
The Middleborough police have named Andrew Horsman, aged 41, as a suspect, and he has been taken into custody. Horsman faces a charge of murder. Witnesses informed detectives that a dispute at the residence preceded the stabbing incident. As stated by the Plymouth district attorney, Pomerleau had been in a long-term relationship with Horsman’s mother.
On Sunday, Pomerleau’s family issued the following statement: “My dad was a deeply loving father. He had a way of making everyone feel like family and was endlessly dedicated to his kids and grandchildren.” Horsman is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge at Wareham District Court on Monday.
An investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing.
