Nicholas Brilhart,Sharon Davis Obituary, Death; – Two individuals who lost their lives on Monday in a collision in Reno County have been named.
The Reno County Sheriff’s Office reported that Nicholas Brilhart, 31, from Sterling, and Sharon Davis, 66, from Weston, West Virginia, were the victims of the crash that occurred on K-96/K-14 near the 82nd Avenue bridge. Two individuals who sustained injuries, including an infant, are still receiving treatment in Wichita.
According to the sheriff’s office, the silver Subaru SUV was traveling north on the highway when it crossed the center line and entered the path of a southbound Ford F-150 pickup. Both drivers attempted to swerve to the right shoulder in an effort to avoid the collision, resulting in a head-on impact.
The pickup driver sustained minor injuries and was treated and subsequently released from a hospital in Lyons. Bystanders who witnessed the accident provided assistance to the victims until first responders arrived at the scene.
