Nerline Saint Fleur Obituary, Death;- A warrant has been issued for the apprehension of an individual due to his purported involvement in a fatal accident that occurred in September on the near northwest side of Indianapolis.

As per a statement from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 14, officers responded to a report of a collision in the 3200 block of Cold Spring Road, adjacent to the Marian University campus.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a Chevrolet Camaro had collided with an electrical pole. Authorities report that two of the three occupants of the vehicle were ejected during the incident. One of the ejected individuals was identified as 33-year-old Nerline Saint Fleur, who was subsequently declared deceased at the scene.

The other two individuals, later identified as Emerson Blanc and another male, were transported to hospitals, with one in critical condition and the other in stable condition.

Court documents indicate that both men informed the responding officers at the hospital that they were operating the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Detectives obtained body-camera footage from the officers present at the scene, which reportedly depicted Blanc moving around the vehicle while Saint Fleur and the other male were lying on the grass post-collision.

According to court documents, detectives secured a search warrant for the Camaro, with data from the vehicle allegedly indicating that the driver was traveling at 79 mph just 2.5 seconds prior to the crash, in a zone where the speed limit is 35 mph.

Court documents further reveal that detectives interviewed Blanc four days following the incident. Blanc purportedly stated that he was out with his friend and his friend’s girlfriend, Saint Fleur, to commemorate her birthday. He allegedly confessed to being the driver of the vehicle, with his friend seated in the front and Saint Fleur in the back passenger seat.

According to court documents, Blanc claimed that neither of the other two individuals was ejected from the vehicle after the collision. He reportedly told detectives that he removed both his friend and Saint Fleur from the car because he feared it would explode.

On Sept. 25, detectives spoke with the other man at the hospital, who had a fractured right femur and more injuries to the right side of his body, including broken ribs.

Detectives believe the man also suffered a concussion, which caused him to think he was driving. The man said he drove to the club prior to the crash, but he said he asked Blanc to drive when they were leaving because he said he did not feel well.

According to court documents, Blanc’s blood sample showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.047, which is below the legal limit of 0.08. Detectives determined Blanc has never had a valid driver’s license. According to online court records, prosecutors charged Blanc with reckless homicide, two counts of operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license and criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon.
