Mario Bilich,Lance Cunningham Obituary, Death; – A Canadian woman has been apprehended following accusations of murdering three individuals within a few days across separate incidents, with authorities designating her as a serial killer.
Sabrina Kauldhar, aged 30, was taken into custody at a hotel in Burlington, Ontario, after the deaths of a woman and two men in the Toronto vicinity, as reported by the Niagara Regional Police Service on Friday.
Niagara Regional Police Chief Bill Fordy stated during a press conference, “By definition, she is a serial killer. Two or more offenses qualify her as such, so I believe that is an accurate assessment.”
Kauldhar’s alleged series of killings commenced on October 1, when law enforcement in Toronto discovered a woman in her sixties deceased within a residence. The following day, emergency responders were summoned to a disturbance at John Allan Park in Niagara Falls. Upon their arrival, they encountered a man suffering from critical injuries.
“Despite the medical intervention efforts by Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the Niagara Falls Fire Service, 47-year-old Lance Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene,” stated a release from the Niagara Regional Police Service.
The third homicide took place on October 3, when a man was discovered with stab wounds in a parking lot in Hamilton, a suburb of Toronto. The victim, identified as 77-year-old Mario Bilich, a retired educator, was transported to a hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
“Investigators established a connection between the Hamilton homicide and the recent murder at John Allan Park in Niagara Falls, confirming that the suspect matched the description in both instances,” police reported. “An additional link was identified with the ongoing homicide investigation from October 1 in Toronto.”
Authorities indicated that Cunningham and Bilich were randomly targeted, while the victim in Toronto was known to the suspect. The identity of the Toronto murder victim has been confirmed by authorities, although her name has not been publicly released.
Kauldhar faces charges of first-degree murder in connection with the Hamilton incident and second-degree murder for the slayings in Toronto and Niagara, according to police.
