Madison Riley Hull Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life in what is being described as a “brutal attack” by three dogs in Smith County on Friday afternoon.
As reported by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, a 23-year-old woman was discovered lying in the backyard of a residence on Northwood Drive in Tyler at approximately 4:15 p.m. It has been stated that she was attacked by three pit bull dogs. A deputy managed to extricate her from the backyard, but she succumbed to her injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
The woman has been identified as Madison Riley Hull, a resident of Tyler. She was caring for the dogs while their owners were away, as indicated by the sheriff’s office.
Hull’s mother, Jennifer Hubbell, characterized her daughter as a beacon of kindness and joy. She also remarked that Madison was “fierce in the most beautiful and disarming way.”
“She embraced life wholeheartedly and navigated the world with a free spirit that uplifted those around her,” Hubbell stated.
Madison was merely six months away from obtaining her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from UT Tyler. Hubbell noted that Madison had already discovered her true calling in teaching young children.
“Her K-3rd grade students cherished her. She possessed a unique ability to make every child feel safe, special, and loved. Madison’s heart was destined for that vocation,” Hubbell expressed.
While responding to the incident, the dogs approached the deputy, who was able to shoot and kill one of the dogs, prompting the other two to flee, as reported by the SCSO.
Smith County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Andy Dunklin has mandated an autopsy. The deputy sustained minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, according to the SCSO.
