Mackensey Griffiths Obituary, Death; – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the bicyclist who was fatally injured after being hit by a semi-truck on Long Point Road on Thursday.
Mackensey Griffiths, aged 33, from Mount Pleasant, succumbed to injuries at the Medical University of South Carolina following the incident. According to officials, Griffiths was struck at approximately 12:18 p.m. at the junction of Long Point Rd. and the I-526 eastbound off-ramp.
The Traffic Bureau of the Mount Pleasant Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the accident.
