Lois Eileen Osborne Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident occurred on Highway 47 in Yamhill County on Thursday, resulting in the death of one driver and serious injuries to another, as reported by the Oregon State Police.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., authorities arrived at milepost 30, where a collision between a car and a truck had taken place. The deceased driver was identified as 53-year-old Lois Eileen Osborne from Gaston, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that Osborne was operating a Chevy HHR southbound on Highway 47 when she failed to navigate a curve, subsequently veering into the opposing lane. Her vehicle collided head-on with a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The 32-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Additionally, two children, aged 9 and 7, were passengers in the pickup truck. They sustained minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital for evaluation.
