Lenin Salazar-Hernandez Obituary, Death; – The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon. Lenin Salazar-Hernandez, aged 40, from Rockford, tragically died on Friday, June 6, following a car crash.
As reported by the coroner, he was traveling west on Harrison Avenue at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road, and subsequently crashed.
First responders discovered Hernandez unresponsive and without a pulse. Efforts to resuscitate him were made, and he was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
As per the Nicaraguan news outlet Canal 10, Hernandez hailed from San Marcos, Carazo.
A GoFundMe campaign indicates that Hernandez is survived by a wife and two children in Nicaragua. The organizer of the fundraiser states that he emigrated to the United States in July 2022 in pursuit of a better life for himself and his family.
Funds raised through the GoFundMe will be allocated to cover Hernandez’s funeral expenses and facilitate his return to Nicaragua for burial by his family.
