Leana Margarita Perez Obituary, Death;- The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who died after a shooting early Saturday at an East Bakersfield park. Coroner’s officials identified the woman as Leana Margarita Perez, 23, of Bakersfield.
Perez died after she was shot at Heritage Park — at Mount Vernon Avenue and Bernard Street — at around 1:25 a.m. on July 12. Perez was rushed to Kern Medical where she was pronounced dead.
No other information about the incident has been released. The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the shooting.
