Kyle Scott Obituary, Death; – Kyle Scott has been confirmed as the pilot who tragically lost his life in a single-engine aircraft accident in the Snyder/Hillrose region at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 5.
Scott served as the fixed base operator at Fort Morgan Municipal Airport and was the co-founder and CEO of CO Fire Aviation and Scott Aviation. He was also an active participant in the National Agricultural Aviation Association and held the position of President of the SEAT Operators Association, focusing on aerial firefighting efforts.
“Morgan County has lost an exceptional pilot and a dear friend,” stated Sheriff Dave Martin in an interview with the Morgan County Times. “Kyle was well-respected and admired not only within our community but also beyond for his contributions as an aviator and in the field of aerial firefighting.”
Sheriff Martin indicated that the sheriff’s office is collaborating closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) as they conduct their investigation, and no additional information is available at this moment.
