Kadrian Harris,Malik Henderson Obituary, Death; – Two individuals lost their lives, and a one-year-old sustained severe injuries following a head-on collision on Turner McCall Boulevard, directly in front of the Applebee’s restaurant, early Saturday morning.
Reports from the Rome Police Department indicate that a Black Dodge Charger, observed exceeding speeds of 90 miles per hour, was seen by law enforcement as it exited Lavender Drive. Due to the excessive speed, the police opted not to pursue the vehicle.
However, shortly thereafter, the Charger was spotted on Riverside Parkway traveling at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour before colliding head-on with another vehicle carrying three passengers on Turner McCall Boulevard.
The driver, Kadrian Harris, and passenger, Malik Henderson, were pronounced dead at the scene, while a one-year-old infant, Riley Harris, suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the Charger, identified as Omar Garcia, was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries after the vehicle caught fire during the incident. His current condition remains unknown.
Family members of the deceased arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and were informed of the tragic fatalities. As of early Saturday morning, the child remains in critical condition with multiple severe injuries.
