Kyle Hites Obituary, Death; – A teenager from Mercer Borough has tragically passed away following a collision that occurred on October 8, 2025.
As reported by Chief Robert Davis of the Mercer Borough Police Department, the incident took place on Wednesday at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Kyle Hites, a 19-year-old resident of Mercer, was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Greenville Avenue and Penn Avenue in Mercer Borough. It was noted that Hites was dressed in dark-colored attire.
After exiting a driveway and entering the street, he was struck by a van.
Hites was subsequently airlifted to the hospital for medical care, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Monday, October 13.
Chief Davis stated that no charges have been brought against anyone involved in the incident.
